Our farm was founded by Abele Melis, born in 1936, a native Terralbese and always a winemaker. Now following in his footsteps is his son, Flavio. The area under vines is 30 hectares and is divided into 6 vineyards, all planted in the Terralbese area, in central-eastern Sardinia south of Oristano. The area is characterised by rolling hills and sandy soil, with hot and breezy springs and summers, suitable for the production of especially structured wines.

Bovale is the traditional Terralbese varietal, with Terralba boasting the designation of controlled origin terralba bovale DOC. We cultivate traditional Sardinian vines such as vermentino, cannonau, barbera sarda, malvasia and muscat. In addition to these varieties, sangiovese and chardonnay and some international vines including syrah and sauvignon blanc also contribute to the production of our wines.

Our wish is to produce wines that can express the Terralbese; that can intrigue and be appreciated by every wine lover. To do this, we have equipped ourselves with the best technologies, with the commitment to respect Abele’s grapes. Wines produced: Dominariu, Melis Bovale, Nabj, Barbera, Syrah, Triagus Rosato, Iocalia Ereb, Horreum, Lauretum, Osea, Sparkling Muscat, Malvasia and Chardonnay and finally of course Fil’e ferru Nabj. Our philosophy is that of showcasing the grapes inherited from our ancestors. Thanks Abele.
