Nuragus – vivere il mare

LIVING THE SEA

Nuragus takes us directly to Cagliari, an area that twists and turns along the southern coast of Sardinia, in a strip of land laying between the hills, washed by a crystalline, blue-green sea. The beaches of Cagliari are real gems, naturalist oases that respond well to the demands of a tourist seeking rewarding experiences of quality.

There are fully-equipped lidos and wilder, uncontaminated beaches, some with very fine sand, others set into and hidden in the marvellous granite promontories of the area. Sea-lovers will also be spoilt for choice here with the many extraordinary beauties of southern Sardinia.

Remember the Poetto Beach, also known as the beach of the ‘Cagliaritani’, which unwinds for eight kilometres from the Sella del Diavolo promontory to the coast of Quartu Sant’Elena. There are various tourist localities just a few kilometres from Cagliari worthy of their international fame, including Chia, recently recognised by Legambiente as one of the most beautiful beaches of Italy, and the not-to-be-missed Villasimius, whose coastline is a unique concentration of beaches with white and golden crests washed by a crystalline sea set into vegetation full of the scents of myrtle, juniper and broom.
